Birthday Trousers :)

I made these about a week ago for Ollies 2nd Birthday. They are made from thick green cord, with a sweet wee green floral fabric pocket and lining. I made them long so they will do another season with some luck.

It's been a while.... I'm back, I think...

It's been some time since I last blogged - actually you could hardly say I started with all of 3 posts! Anyway I'm motivating myself to get back to it, creating I mean. Two boys, not much time, but I'm going to give it a go. 

I've made a few things lately (posts to come), but today I made (of all things) a peg bag. Why? because I need one ;-)

The fabric was from a little shop in Bali. Handmade.

Xmas Ornament Swap

This year I entered a xmas ornament swap - so glad I did!
Here is what I made for my group.

I found this awesome pattern online and gave it a go. So easy! I'm thinking xmas gifts...

These ones are made with old vintage cord fabric

and these I have made with some white cord and scraps from a nappy bag I made a while back :)

It's a great pattern as it's easy adjust the size and also you can use absolutely any fabric.

I took over the lounge and got sewing in the weekend. I am not much of a pattern follower, I think the last time I followed one was in high school! My sewing style is much more "rustic" - and as you can imagine has more failures than successes. But Babies clothes are small and if what you intended to make doesn't work out, then, oh well I haven't wasted too much material in the process.

There is something about this biscotti recipe that I love... apart from tasting great, it's fat free (well... no butter/oil added), so I make up for this by having a lot. Reminds me of the year I spent in Italy, and how simple food is best.
